LinuxISO.org: ISO images of 35 different Linuxes
LinuxISO.org is a site with ISO images of 35 different distributions of Linux. These are install images ready to burn to a CD, which is usually the easiest way to install Linux. The site name is a slight misnomer; FreeBSD and netBSD are also available.
I've had good success using these kinds of images with VMWare. VMWare allows you to install an operating system as a "guest", which allows it to run at the same time as the "host" operating system. In my case, the host is Windows 2000, but there's also VMWare for Linux.
